Sri City Spiritual Forum Hosts Event
Hyderabad: Integrated business city, Sri City’s spiritual and literary forum, Srivani organised a week-long Srimad Bhagavata Saptaham at its Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swami temple. Devotees, including elders, women, and villagers from the Sri City region attended the discourse.
Members from the Bhakta Samajam, led by Bhayapu Reddy and S Rama Subba Reddy, recited the 12 skandhams of the epic that consists of 335 adhyaayams, and 18,000 slokas, over a course of seven days, an official Sri City press release said.
During the conclusion ceremony, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City, honoured the members of Bhakta Samajam, recognising the completion of the event. Expressing gratitude to them, he said: “Srimad Bhagavatam has the power to open the paths for the Lord to enter our minds, offer us peace of mind and happiness, and finally lead us to salvation. Performing Srimad Bhagavata Saptaham is like a holy ‘Yagna’, which is auspicious, and extremely beneficial to the community.”
The event concluded with a special pooja dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Swamy, while students from Chinmaya Vidyalaya recited Bhagavad Gita verses. Arrangements for this occasion was overseen by Madhu Reddy, P B S Sastry and Palleti Balaji, the release mentioned.
